Raised in Houston TX within a flourishing arts environment, and spending many summers and winters in the North East, Evan's work focuses on the dichotomy between urban and natural environments, and the way that sunlight and man-made light interact within both those environments as well as the camera.

Evan began studying photography as a teenager in high school, at the Glassel School of art, exhibiting at many group shows in Houston, as well as within the MFAH. Evan moved to New York City in 2003 to study at Parsons School of Design, living and working there ever since.
